Prices ranged from 300,000 - 400,000 won per month. Some friends stayed in higher end goshiwons for 500,000 per month. The places I stayed at all had free cooked rice for tenants. One had free rice, kimchi, and eggs. Another had free ramen.

CJ International House on campus has relatively restrictive rules and takes quite a while to walk to from Anam which meant that students weren't wholly happy with living there. A place like Anam Hostel, although basic in nature, is in an ideal location, being situated on the main strip of restaurants and hofs. Crimson House was also another popular spot in a good location in front of the main gates of the university.

The university is a 15 minute subway ride away from Itaewon.

Student Body
Quite a lot of international students come here. I don't know the specific figure but the article is right in saying that the campus has a noticeable international vibe. In my experience, there was a strong sense of camaraderie amongst the exchange students.

Curriculum
N/A.

Atmosphere
Wonderful facilities (great libraries, architecture is lovely, nice cinema, nice gym on the science campus, there is an underground study complex), a beautiful campus that is a joy to stroll through during the evenings. The article is right in pointing out that students identify with the university. Personally, I have a fonder feeling towards K.U. than I do to my home university in Ireland.

Opportunities
I can't write a whole lot about opportunities but I can tell you that a large number of exchange students were recruited from our "K.U. 2011-2012" facebook page on one occasion for an extras gig.

Soju Rating.
Can't comment on its language programmes with any authority so I'll just give the place 5 sojus for giving me a wonderful year of memories and a group of close friends.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
